About

     Hey There, I'm Susan!

I am a sinner saved by grace alone and am a complete and total goofball at heart.  I love Jesus, my man, my kiddos, and my life!  I am fluent in sarcasm and humor, a DIY attempter, travel LOVING, former athlete, former young person, craft loving, celebrating enthusiast, professional mover by God’s choice, and current resident of the great state of Texas.

Life is ever and always evolving. Right now it looks like living in one of the largest cities in the country...SCRATCH THAT...living in a small but growing coastal town, but it wasn’t always that way. Raised in a small country town, and having moved 10 different times once I left home and then another 10 (update now 11) once I married my best friend, I know a thing or two about relocating, immersing in local life, meeting people, and living fully right where you are.

I have an insatiable appetite for learning new things and love to dive headfirst into whatever I am into at the present moment!  I have held many varying jobs through my life thus far ranging from waitressing to real estate closing agent, and so much in between.

As a former EMT and later, a caregiver to my C1 quadriplegic mom for 7 years, and having experienced multiple miscarriages, I understand grief and strongly desire to shower others with love and compassion sprinkled with a bit of humor as they walk through their own journey 365 days of the year.

My love for others is strongly based in the fact that you just don’t know what someone else is going through

The Lord has seen me through too much to ever doubt what He is doing even when I can't understand it.  He has been faithful and true to me through every struggle and triumph.

Through the years I have always had a knack for side hustles and an entrepreneurial spirit and attitude, whether it be finding diamonds in the rough at yard sales and reselling them, running my own homemade soap business, selling on craigslist, owning and running my thriving antique business, furniture flipping and painting, and much more through the years.  Once I moved to the big city, there was no room for my thriving antique business to move with me, so I sold it to someone who saw the great value in it and went on with life until I discovered my next venture!

I fell in love with Coaching for multiple reasons.

The great thing about Coaching is this.  It doesn't matter where you live, what your life looks like, if you are single, married, divorced, or anything else.  It doesn't even matter if your life is presently in the midst of great change.

COACHING is one of the easiest things to implement in your life no matter what!

If you are living in a small space (whether that be an RV, dorm room, rented room, or apartment), OR If you are living in a larger space (whether that is a house, ranch, or even for your business space), it matters not!

Another great thing about COACHING is the investment!

The investment is so wonderful because not only do those who pay, pay attention, but the knowledge, lessons learned, relationships formed, and freedom earned far outweights the initial investment and  is yours to keep forever!

Life doesn’t have to slow down for you to implement COACHING into your life!

The final thing I will say about COACHING is that it evolves with you!

I make a great effort on here to COACH for not just moms like myself, but for anyone…guys, gals, singles. married, kids, entrepreneurs, business owners, etc.  My focus is for those that deeply desire for something more than this life can offer and are ready to do the hard work to get there.  Please know I am always working on myself and my life and biz behind the scenes on so much great stuff and all with you in mind.

We hope this continues to encourage and edify you in your journey!

Susan Brown Coaching was founded with the notion that we truly all are part of the same family and that we have a mission to be Legacy Game Changers here and now for Jesus!

As I look back over my life, I realize how segregated I felt at different points in my life from the rest of the world.

When I was single living alone in my car, I felt ostracized from the world.  When I went to work (while living in my car), everyone talked about their families and I felt empty inside with no room to chime in about me, myself, and I being my own family.   When I was single with my own place, it was the same thing and then people would ask me when I was getting married.  My reply became, “when I meet my husband”.  When I did meet my best friend and we married, then it became, “when are y’all having kids?”.

I realize that in the world’s eyes, I would never be enough.  Just me.

Anyway, I have always had this deep angst type of groaning longing coming from my soul thinking, “we really do all matter…whether child, teenager, single adult, married with no kids, married with kids, divorced, widowed, abandoned, homeless, retired, elderly….we really all have our own stories and they really do matter.”

So, that is what I hope to convey to you through these life impacting and legacy changing COACHING is the reminder that there is beauty in our differences and we are all different and that is wonderful, but also that we are all a part of the same family. I hope they will be a blessing to you in your life, as you endeavor to transform your life!

Be creative.  You are special and unique and deserve to be celebrated!

Having only been given one life and only so much time, I believe our time, energy and money is precious and shouldn’t be wasted on things that just don’t work.

So now, I sit here with a dream and a computer to type on.

My desire is for you to fully know your worth and your beauty and that you are not the sum total of your circumstances or your history, or what others believe to be true about you.  You are so much more than all of that!  You are unique. You can change.  You can be positive.  You can believe.  Most of all, you can live and you can love!

Come along for this crazy ride and may every one of your  days be blessed!

Blessings,

Susan

 About Todd

Todd is a Jesus man, husband, and daddy who loves life, traveling, cooking, adventuring, and whose motto is “Life begins outside of your comfort zone.”

He has a strong desire to encourage others to push past their perceived limits as he has experienced firsthand what amazing blessings and growth can happen when you are willing to try.

He is a country boy at heart and loves the outdoors...hunting and fishing and any other reason he can find to spend time outdoors he loves to do it!

Spending much of his time being raised in the country, the irony of him having lived in one of the largest cities in the country is not lost on him.  He always tries to be submissive to the Lord about where He wants his family.   When they moved to the big city, it was his 10th move in 16 years of marriage.  As of this editing, he has completed move 11 in 19 years of marriage and is back in his home state of Alabama.  He is a firm believer that all of life really is an adventure and truly is about the journey.

He loves to tell his girls (all 3 of them) how he loves to go to work because he is so thankful to be able bodied thereby being able to work. He is grateful that God is allowing him to influence more and more people for His glory. He loves displaying his love to his family through his hard work and persistence and that most of all he is grateful that he has been blessed with a family to provide for.

After previous trials in life, he is deeply passionate about encouraging and inspiring other men to step up and take care of their families.

He is humble and kind and always on the lookout for ways to serve others.  He is definitely the chef in the family and is ingenious when it comes to creating his own on the spot recipes and they 95% of the time turn out to be do-overs!

He loves being a dad and is constantly creating bedtime stories for the girls to keep their creative minds inquisitive and longing for more. He is his family’s rock and safe place and he has the best humor of anyone they have ever known.

Todd is always up for the next adventure, and counts this blog among those and would love to hear from you about your life and encourage you in your walk.

Updated to Add:  True to following his own advice, Todd recently left a flourishing career in which he spent 20 years to follow a dream and a calling to renovate and flip houses in a much needed part of his hometown community.  He encourages you to pray, seek God's will in your life, and be bold enough to follow where He leads you!
